ASSESSMENT OF THE NUTRITIONAL CONTENT OF SOME FRUIT JUICES DISTRIBUTED IN SABON GARI MARKET, ZARIA, NIGERIA

In many parts of West Africa, there is generally an inadequate supply foods that are rich in nutrients needed by the human body for health and productive life. The purpose this study to assess nutritional content fruit juices distributed Sabon Gari, Zaria market; pH level, sodium chloride equivalent (Salt content), acid content, total dissolved solids electrical conductivity ten (10) different samples from companies were found be adequate all analyzed. Most importantly, these contain ascorbic (vitamin C) which a very important antioxidant. Increased productivity, marketing consumption healthy fruits was recommended.
